The drawing
It started as one of the stickers on the grey sheet: a skull and a compass star. The red dot isn’t an eye: it sits where it lets the eye wander over the whole tattoo.
Fitting it
The calf is long and turns, so the star points follow the muscle instead of sitting flat. Same drawing, stretched a little down.

On skin
Linework first, then the dotted shading, then the red. The flash was retired from the sheet the same evening.
